I dont like the stabby, branding in-your-face star
This exactly. It’s good design otherwise. But those side stars are a deal breaker.

I have the Rock slide table and it is awesome and no rattles. You never see the star when you hang a trash bag from it. I also have no fear drilling holes in the new buggy.

Hey, just saw this tailgate table. Thought it looks n sounds. What are your thoughts?

The RC JCR table is my go to table but, this caught my eye...

unless something better comes around - so far it has not - I'll get this one. The stars are a bit silly, not a fan of stars and flags everywhere, but you can hang a trash bag or something else from that thing, so has a use.
I like the two levels and larger surface on the lower table, carries plenty enough weight for what I'll put there (food prep) and I don't have any use for Molle anything, would never have little bags and pouches and what not hanging there anyways.

I do like the ones with a cutting board, but am not sure how useful and stable that is, in my mind I just see that board slide out with the last cut of food prep and everything falling down in the dirt. And some are just silly expensive for a wooden board and bent metal. Not that rockslide is a bargain either.

I was first a "no drill" person, but really don't care anymore, might even just build my own table from RV fold down shelving/table parts, not in a rush.

I went with the OEM table. The branding on the other tables is an absolute hard NO. No rattles, functions fine. Use it as a molle panel more than table so far.

Can you use the raised lid cargo enclosure with the JCR table?

I have the JCR table. It is definitely a pain in the ass. It's awesome though.
I saw @Tricky Dick and "pain in the ass" in a post, so I had to comment...

Anyways, what's the biggest pain? I watched their install video, and my guess is the last past where you have to put the "table surface" down? Or are there other parts that suck more?

For those with the JCR table, how do those latches work? They look like plastic/rubber - do they seem to be durable? Any concerns about the rubber drying out and cracking or breaking?
They're rubber, pretty much the same style latches on a YETI cooler - my guess is they'll last quite a while.

I'm probably going JCR, and what I'll do is make a cutting board that is the whole width of the tailgate that I lay on top of the JCR shelf, once it is down. I'll make a template and cut around the support wire and tailgate shape. Then take it off when it's folded up. Sorry for crude drawing. Haha.

This drawing took me to my college days when a “crappy children’s artwork” site was put up for humor and the guy graded them all and made fun. Hilarious? So here is your grade!

There were a lot more parts to it than I expected and the tolerances are very tight I hear. Once I read that the spare had to come off to install I boxed it up to save for another day. That's asking an awful lot of a lazy person such as myself.

Makes his own rock rails, which looked very complicated...

... Complains about attaching a no-drill table...
