It should reset, might take a little time.

Did you reset the battery management system?

That's useful - where did you find that?

Edit: I found the link here: Resetting the Battery Sensor. Looks like the online Owner's Manual has the info - the 2021 manual doesn't have a page on this. The manual I have only has the info on leaving the vehicle locked for 8 hours to relearn the battery state.

Don’t ever let an AGM battery get drained, they won’t come back like a lead-acid battery. I just replaced my battery with a Duralast Platnum Elite AGM. This one has a 5 year warranty, the longest warranty I could find - most have a 3 yr. I started getting faults pop up on my dash, which is the first indicator the battery is beginning to fail. By not running it for 6 months, you wouldn’t have gotten the benefit of early fault warnings. If you’re planning on not driving it for more than 2 weeks, use a tender.

A lead acid is messed up if it also goes below 50% SOC

My Bronco hasn't been started in 6 months and I didn't leave it on a tender. Now the stock battery won't take a charge at all. I replaced the battery and now have a slew of faults.

If you know it is going to set for any length of time disconnect the negative battery terminal. 10mm wrench and about 30 seconds of time. You could use a tender also, but some do not always have access to a power outlet. Disconnecting the battery cable is quick and works every time even if you don't have a power source.

The more important question here is……Tricky, why haven’t you cranked your bronco in over 6 months?????
