I just installed the SumoSprings front coil spacers and wanted to share my experience since there hasn't been much discussion about them on the forum.

After installing my winch, the front of my Bronco dropped 5/8", which created a 2" difference in height front to rear. It also made the already bad nosediving while hard braking even worse!

These things installed in minutes. You just have to jack up your front end, letting the suspension droop all the way and slip them in. I let them heat up in the sun for about an hour first, which softened them up nicely. You don't even need to remove your wheels.

They brought my front end back up to about what stock was, there's now a 1.25" difference front to rear, which is about perfect for me. The nosedive during braking and shifting is gone and it's much more composed around corners as well.

It's rare that a product does exactly what they say it does these days. These easily exceeded my expectations.

If you're having similar issues, give these a look. Well worth the $170 and saved me what I was really considering; replacing the shocks.

They've had things like this for years. But I've always found that they make the ride a ton stiffer because you're basically eliminating a coil or two out of your suspension.

Maybe with the extra weight it doesn't matter as much. I guess my question is, how's the ride?

Also, how snug did they fit? I'd be worried that when off-roading, You would flex enough that they could fall out.

My rig has dropped about 1.25" with all the weight I've added..been thinking of going with perch collars but they are known to stiffen the ride plus take a lot of work to install.

It doesn't quite eliminate a coil, but no, you'll never get full compression from the coil the spacer resides. They are pretty soft though and I could squeeze it about 20% with just my hands. Not being a rock crawler or anything I know I'll rarely, if ever compress my suspension that much, so it's an acceptable tradeoff for my use. Yours may be different.

The ride is more firm and I have get much better feedback from the steering now. It's not harsh by any stretch of the imagination, it soaks up bumps and potholes very well and actually recovers way quicker. It's how it should behave from the factory, in my opinion.

There is no way they can fall out. They are installed at full droop, and require a bit of effort to push into the coil. They wrap a full turn of the coil.

I looked at the perch collar thing too and decided these were worth a shot just to not have to disassemble my suspension. I'm going to keep these and see how they work long term. I think with the additional preload the perch collars add, the tradeoffs between them and these aren't much different.

I've been using the SumoSprings rear bump stops on my '13 F350 for the past 10 years and from a wear perspective, they are just as good now as they were new, so I have no concerns about durability. I'll report back in a while if I notice anything.

If these worked in the front I imagine they would work on the rear springs too for an all-around lift alternative to perch collars. They make a bumpstop style product for the Bronco's rear too that is probably more suited for towing. Trail Hunters seemed to like the rear ones for towing

I had installed the sumosprings in the front after installing DV8 Front MTO bumper and winch combo. I will upload after pictures as it did raise the front a bit and reduced the sluggish feeling in the suspension. I have non-sas badlands. I like the ride after install, and it does not feel too stiff. If anything, as an early post said, it returned the suspension to a factory feel. I hope this helps if someone was on the fence; for $180, it is a value versus $1,000 to get new heavier springs. I will also get the ones for the rear because it sits too low when I'm towing my boat.
