After doing a Zone adventure lift, RPG UCAs, tie rods. The airbag light and stabilitrak light was on when it was taken too ford for alignment.
Ford is blaming the install shop for breaking the clock spring. There has been plenty lifted, anyone else gone through or seen this after mod install. Still running stock wheels/tires. Waiting on a 0 offset wheel.

IDK how you could even break the clockspring unless the steering shaft was disconnected from the rack, and why would they do that? Something's fishy.

Maybe they meant an abs/speed sensor?

Here is what the Ford sent/

Hey Daniel, Just got word back from the tech. He is saying that the clock spring in the steering wheel is broken and is needing replaced. It has been mechanically broken and is a known source of the airbag faults and inop horn/steering wheel buttons. We would then at that point have to proceed to find out why the stabilitrak light is on as well. He is saying that this could have been broken when any of the steering components where loose and allowed it to over rotate and snap the internal ribben. I should have an estimate soon for you. Just waiting on parts to get a quote for me. The tech has also included a picture of your passenger side front strut. It currently is sitting half on and half off of the isolator and is incorrectly installed.

That doesn’t look good. Looks like they chewed up the spring coating a bit too.

I’m not lucky enough to have a new Bronco, but would they remove the intermediate shaft from the column to gain clearance for something? Maybe backing a nut or such?

Weird deal for sure.

some of the lift install on you-tuve shows the tech disconnecting the steering shaft to release any potential pressure on the steering linkage. I will search for the video and post it when I find it.

I can see this as a plausible possibility. During the lift install they likely pushed the steering from max to max L&R causing the steering wheel to spin free and fast to a sudden stop. Strange but plausible.

Your strut was assembled incorrectly. That leads to further suspicion on the rest of their work.

Sounds like an opportunity to upgrade to the heated wheel clockspring so down the road you can add the heated wheel. 👍

My installer is going to cover it and Ford is going over everything.

I just want it back, 360 miles. Picked it up February 26th.
