So over the last week my brakes has been squeaky, I think it’s the rear, but I took both tires off and blew out the rotors and pads, didn’t see anything that would make the noise. It was tough to tell the pads, but the rotors weren’t all scored. I have 31,xxx miles. With offroad.

am I at the new pad junction, and if so. Is this a DIY, or do I need special tools.

its driving me insane.. omg i feel like a city bus stopping.

You need to activate the Brake Maintenance Mode, or finagle around the electric parking brake that will probably get in your way.

Word of caution: there are a lot of us where BMM does not work - it just won't engage per this procedure. You can still enable it with FDRS (the dealer software), or some folks have just muscled it into compliance in various ways.

How to turn on Brake Maintenance Mode:
1) Turn ignition ON
2) Turn parking brake OFF
3) Press and hold down accelerator, and at the same time press and hold DOWN/OFF parking brake. Keep holding until you get to step 5...
4) Turn ignition OFF, pause for a second, and then back ON
5) Turn ignition OFF and release parking brake and accelerator, the screen should now indicate Maintenance Mode
**DO NOT try to drive with this mode on, your brakes won't work well!

How to re-engage normal brake service:
1) Turn ignition ON
2) Press and hold down accelerator, and at the same time pull and hold UP/ON parking brake. Keep holding until you get to step 5...
3) Press and hold down brake pedal for 2 seconds and then release
4) Turn ignition OFF, pause for a second, and then back ON
5) Release parking brake and accelerator, the brake warning lights and check engine lights should go off, you may need to start the engine to clear everything out

In case you didn't already find it, see link here
I actually subscribed to your page and booked marked that video. I got a new set of OEM pads
Coming, figured if I’m gonna go through inspecting them in Maint mode, might as well have replacements

Cool thanks for that! Just follow the maintenance mode steps carefully. As @Brian_B noted above as models years are using different module programming over time some people have reported that the procedure does not work for them.
