Has anyone noticed a rattle in their rear speakers? I have the 10 speaker system. It’s pretty annoying. I’m thinking about replacing/upgrading those rear speakers. Has anyone done this yet, or had the same issue?

My subwoofer rattles like a spray can. Has been since I bought it new.

it is the subwoofer. they all rattle. the rear speaker pods don't rattle, but I did upgrade those with 2 channel alpine speakers and they improved the sound dramatically.

It’s OEM garbage driver in a cheap plastic box behind a plastic panel without any sound deadening. Lots of issues here.

No problem!

There is a sub in the back passenger side of the liftgate area. The rear speaker pods are the ones hanging from the roll cage in the back.

I left the factory sub but replaced the speakers inside the rear pods. They are 4 inch speakers. Took me 10 minutes to install them a piece. For the sub rattle, I jammed a towel in between plastic cover of the sub and my ammo box that is fixed in place with the bronco accessory cargo rug with the velcro pieces. that worked a lot better. Not perfect but I rarely here the rattle now.

Here is what you need for the speaker upgrade. SO easy to do. Big improvement for a little bit of money.

Thank you! Appreciate it! The TSB says it’s just a matter of replacing the hardware for the sub. May see what the dealer can do.

I believe there is a TSB about the sub rattle. If so a dealer should fix it for free.
