Yes I didn’t need to do it I just did it like I would occasionally do in my civic. I do always have jumper cables but there was something about a nice smooth bump start that was fun! Don’t get me wrong I still love the Bronc and the manual.I tried to do that with my Bronco.
It started and then immediately shut itself down with a ton of error codes.
After I shut off the ignition, I let the Bronco sit on the end of the driveway for a minute or two.
Then I tried starting it with the start button and all the error codes cleared.
Yeah, the old days of starting a dead-battery car by rolling and popping the clutch are gone.
At least we still have a manual transmission to roll our own gear selection.
It won't be very long before that's gone too.
