Slide-out Tailgate with Cargo Mat?

Hi all!
I optioned the slide-out tailgate and I LOVE IT! However, I'd like to throw a cargo mat on top so I have something with a lip to catch any mud/spills. Has anyone tried/succeeded in using a "standard" cargo mat (OEM or otherwise) on top of the slide-out tailgate? Thanks!

Did you ever purchase one to see if it fits? I am looking to buy one as well but saw a note on the WeatherTech site that it didn't fit if you had the slide-out tailgate.

I have 4-door with the slide out tailgate and bought the OEM liner part number VM2DZ9913042C and it did NOT fit the anchor points. Hoping they make a similar liner that would fit.

The OEM mat definitely doesn't fit. I mean it will sit on top of the slide out tailgate but it looks weird to me.

resurfacing this thread - i just picked up weathetechs for the first and second row but they explicitly state that their trunk liner wont work with the trunk - any luck on here for an option?

I kept the OEM but, like Bushwhacker said, it sits a little weird on top. It still protects the whole area, has a rubberized backing, and the rug material on top makes it easy to slide things in and out so I kept it.

I tried the OEM cargo liner on my slide-out security drawer and it was too large/didn’t fit. So I went to Home Depot and got this rubber mat and notched out the anchor points. Works great and is non-slip! Been running it almost since getting my Bronco at the end of 2021.

This should work for the slide-out tail gate I’d assume.

This is one of those generic Chinese Bronco mats I bought on eBay, I think the name of the company was Mixsuper. Fits okay, it's a tad long.

this looks like it fits well, if that end length bothered you I'm sure you could take a boxcutter to it - that might be the best option

It really doesn't bother me, I was just pointing out that it's a tad longer. Works great.
