I agree. The only tech I really want is a nice head unit, and the beauty of the Slate not even coming with one is you can add your own and keep upgrading anytime you like.Adjusted for inflation and features, new cars are generally significantly cheaper than past decades.
The problem I have is feature creep. I would actually pay MORE to do LESS but BETTER. I want my car do one thing, get be from point A to point B. Do this safely, cheaply, and with right amount of smiles, and Slate will be successful.
