I found these instructions in the manual, and tried it twice, but it didn't work.

Mine worked remove the rear seatbelts and it will disable the air bags. To the seatbelt guy. I ride motorcycles. I don't need a better cage. I get if that is your choice but the data you rely on is speculative. You cannot definitely say having g a strap on saved this persons life. You can only speculate.

I found these instructions in the manual, and tried it twice, but it didn't work.

It worked for me, but it took a few times... because of step #2's "wait a short period of time until..." WTF is a "short period of time"?? I waited I think 5 seconds or so. Also, in #3 & #4 the "seatbelt warning light" is the little red dummy light, not the "ok" screen. The confirmation that it worked was the little red dummy light (#4) flashing rapidly 3 times. Then it is the same process to re-enable it if a person wanted to.

We’re talking about 2 things here. This hack does eliminate the chime, which in the past required forescan. However, unless I missed something, it does not eliminate the little 1 min infotainment message unless u press the ok button.

As an aside, I think, but not 100% sure, when you adjust key-door lock chirp it also eliminated double honk. Mine no longer double honks and that is only change I can think of. Again, in past forescan was needed to do that.
