I have tried everything I could find about disabling the seat belt minder. I am not one to not use a seat belt. In fact, I started using a seat belt all the time in 1973. I just like to start up the engine and let it warm up a little while I am fastening my seat belt. That chime just annoys me.
I tend to be very persistent and kept trying things. I discovered the "triple ding at startup disable" method and decided to give that a try. I now have no chime when I start without fastening my seat belt. That triple ding at startup must still be related to the seat belt because before, if I had my seat belt fastened at startup, it would not chime.
The method to disable the triple ding is in the FORScan spread sheet but I will repeat it here for anyone that is having no success in disabling the seat belt minder at startup. Of course it is done in FORScan in the IPC module under 720-01-02. The disable is xxxx-x2xx-xxxx.
