Picked up my Bronco yesterday.

Noticed a sizable divot collecting rain water today.

I’ve never owned a convertible before. Is this normal?

Appreciate the reply. I’m backing off the ledge, now.

There’s a big run in the clear coat on my tailgate that kind of looks like stretch marks, which the dealer immediately pointed out to me upon delivery and will get repainted… but should have never gotten past QC in the first place.

Add to that all the truly nightmare stories I’ve read on this forum; it was enough to make me paranoid.

The paint stuff happens. Glad your dealer was thorough and honest.

Sure, welcome to the fam, lots of entertainment and useful shared info.
You’re just getting warmed up with the many fun nuances of the soft top, especially if having a soft top is a new thing. Good luck, love the build.

Tailgate is a lucky place to have a re paint done. The odds of them matching colors is slim but there isn't much to have to match back there. The worst is a door or fender. Original paint on both sides and repaint in the middle. Tough to make match perfectly.

If this was my rig I would rather have it then sit in a lot for 30-60 days waiting for paint. I would consider it a win that you got it. 😂 otherwise you would be wondering where your bronco is without any knowledge of why you don’t have it.

As Cory said, you're fine. One tip, when you wash your Bronco don't dry the top with a cotton towel. Lint from the cotton get all over it, and will stick out like Jimmy Durante's nose (I see you're young, so I'll let you look that one up :) ) Congrats, and enjoy that Bronco my Tar Heel brother.

I have a similar "issue". I wouldn't say its a problem necessary, but my top is doing the same thing. Garage kept w/ about 2k miles in about a year. I say that because this car is barely driven - its a weekend car for us. I cant for the life of me understand why there would be more sag in that one area.

Image is after driving in heavy rain, not being parked outside.

Mine has never done that. Should be some adjustabilty to snug it up a bit in the frame. I park on a slight down hill angle also.
