Oh my bad... Sadly, my comment still stands.
It wasn’t a bad thought. That sensor may still control deployment of the curtain airbags. I’d have to look it up. But either way I don’t think the grab handles will cause any concern in this situation

True, while it’s not the exact build date, it’ll give you an estimated guess if you’re close to the recall window
That’s what I was thinking too. My blend date was 9/27/21, and the end date of production for this defect was 9/16/21, so I would think that anyone with a similar blend as mine would be in the clear.

Good point. I don’t think any MY22’s were built until December. That’s just the dates the recall gives.
Possible, but I expect those were going to crash tests or some other test function..

Correct. Us "first batcher" 22s had Santa Claus installing the fender flares just before taking off with Rudolph and the gang.

Something is wrong with those recall dates.

Yep. I’m assuming it’s just a typo. Once they fix it I’ll update the post.

wouldn't it show up in the ford pass app?
I got mine last August and I just checked the app. There are two recalls. One is for that backseat child lock thing and the other is for something they are sending over the air to fix re: the rear camera. There is nothing about this yet.

Ours is being checked next week when they do the Driveline replacement along with the child safety lock check. Super simple process to get it all set up.

New safety recall launched today for:

2021 Bronco built February 19, 2021 through September 16, 2021

2022 Bronco built September 1, 2021 through September 3, 2021 (Possible typo, build dates don’t seem correct)

REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL:

In some of the affected vehicles, the side impact sensors may not have been properly installed. A side impact sensor that is not installed properly may not detect certain side impact events. The incorrect side impact sensor readings could cause the affected air bags to unintentionally deploy or to not deploy when intended, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

SERVICE ACTION:
Dealers are to inspect for a missing B-pillar crash sensor mounting stud, missing retainer nut and/or loose mounting stud. If nut is missing a nut must be installed. If the stud is missing or loose, the dealer will follow the repair procedure to weld a new stud in place and apply a corrosion resistant coating. The dealers will be instructed to contact the Special Service Support Center (SSSC) to obtain a stud until service parts are available through the depots. This service must be performed on all affected vehicles at no charge to the vehicle owner.

Not sure how they missed welding on a whole stud for a crash sensor, but this should be interesting.
Not my problem!! See that's why it's good to wait for a 2023...like I had any control over this!!

Well, I hope this is in the system for my VIN before Thursday when I’m back in for wiper fluid pump.

This should complete my recalls assuming the everything comes in threes is accurate. Child locks, spontaneous windshield ejection during a crash and now missing sensor stud. That should take care of the threes list.
