Hadn’t seen anything on the forum about this do I thought I’d post. DISCLAIMER I’m not an electrician and have never done any of this before. Was trying to figure out how to install some uses for my Aux switches myself, and came across this solution that’s made for 2021-2022 broncos. This multiple light controller installs over the battery using existing hardware and wires directly to the Aux pigtailed wires at the firewall. I just attach ground and power to the terminals on the switch - I can remove all relays and fuses in the harness for the lights and make it a really clean installation. Just testing in the photos (4 more lights coming in for the light bar on the bumper). Will post the final installation with all the wires tucked away. Pretty cool solution, I think.

This is great for the connections, but does this have a controller in the cab too?

No. It works with the Aux Switches that are in my bronco. If you don’t have the OEM Aux switches I don’t think this version works. They have a Jeep version that includes a controller but not sure they’ve made one for the Bronco

But why? The six switches already have relays and fuses? Or you you using this to connect multiple lights to one auxiliary switch?

Really just to clean up the installation and make it easier to swap out lights, connect multiple lights to the same switch. I don’t have all the extra wires going to the battery, additional switch wires etc running around the inside of the engine compartment.

Oh Hell did you just stumble on the "Replace the Fuse box" Issue? Buy a Harness and the *Pain* switch panel then a simple 6 light relay box from Like AUX lighting or Rough country?

seems like if you want to connect multiple lights to one switch, this is a proper solution. That said... if you actually need enough lights to also need something like this, you are probably planning a mission to the Moon or something and should let NASA handle the install. There aren't many real world scenarios on this planet where a couple of lights connected to 1 or 2 aux switches won't do.

So in my mind i’m thinking I can use this with a little wiring magic to install the factory aux switches. The switches they provide are lighted on/off. So I could have a factory appearance inside the cab for less money than going full factory fuse box. This is how the superduty used to be they had a separate relay box you so you could easily add the switches after the fact. And have the benefit of easily replaceable relays should one go bad.
hmm

My wife is concerned that that is what I am planning…

I've been scratching my head about this since the post went up. I think the problem is that they named it incorrectly.

This unit would be great for anyone running multiple higher amp accessories (30amps per switch, 50amp max simultaneously) compared to the lower amp ratings of the upfutters themselves.

As far as multiple light controller... I don't see the benefit. If you needed multiple lights on one switch, that's an easy splice. If you needed multiple lights on one switch that exceed the amp rating of that switch, a $5 relay would be the ticket.

I got this too, but for a different reason. It has a low voltage shut-off to protect the battery. I"m going to run some wires to have accessories like 12 v plugs always have power and some work lights as well, but won't need the ignition on to run them.

The controller will shut off if my battery gets too low.

I know this thread is a little dated, but I recently installed a MLC-6 in my bronco and noticed that it does not clear the hood/hood liner, causing the side of the hood to remain open about 1/4” higher than the other and is not resting against the seal. Has anyone that installed this product observed the same thing? I am not about to cut out the liner (not even sure that it would be sufficient anyways). Thank you.
