Spoke with the technician at the ford dealership and he said he tried everything and the only conclusion he can come up with is that it needs a drop bracket for it to read correctly. I’m not sure how true that is, but I guess it kind of makes sense. Does anyone have any idea where I could find something like this for my truck so the live valves can work properly. I also reached out to a company called goat off-road located in Australia who had a write up on how to do ride height calibration with a lift I’ll keep you posted what I come up with.
I also reached out to Eibach Directly and they asked for me to do measurements from center hub to the top of the fender. To see if potentially the springs are incorrect. Again I will continue to post as I find out more information.
It’ll be interesting to see what Eibach says. I’m having the same issue as you, and my springs lifted it about 2.2” The Forscan can read the shock heights, it just won’t calibrate them. And it goes through the entire clear DTC codes, etc routine before it starts. I lost all drive modes as well.
I didn’t have any of these issues until the shop that installed them tried to do the calibration with their scanner. But it sounds like a common problem.
I may just try and manipulate the sensor arms to get as close to level, and run it a few times. I’m thinking that it doesn’t like the 2” + difference that it’s reading.
Yes, that’s exactly what was happening with me with my FORSCAN. There were no codes before until I attempted it and then it through the code and will not calibrate at all. I’m gonna try the exact same thing. The plan is of what I read on a different forum is to unbolt the ride height sensors from the truck and manually manipulate the arms as close as zero as possible as I live. Read it on FORSCAN clear the code and then attempt to do the calibration again or clear the code and take it back to the dealership. I am glad selfishly that I’m not the only one if you figure it out before I do please post on here and I obviously will do the same. Lastly, I would recommend you reach out to EIBACH as well.
I some how missed this, yes there is a limit range with the factory on how much range you can add in lift before its an issue. This is why I didn't originally go bonkers on the size of my lift collars so that it would stay within range and not need recal or as it seems other changes.
