it seems to be the plastic h-pattern bracket that mounts to the mirror. it flexes way too easy. I'm adding some bracing between it and the mirror and we'll see if that fixes it.

I installed this mirror yesterday and I think it's too big for the Bronco's sunvisors. You have to get the mirror positioned just right, otherwise your sun visors won't swing past the mirror without hitting it and you have to adjust your mirror to use the sunvisors. If the mirror gets moved at all then you have to fuss with fixing the positioning again - it's really annoying.

Ideally a 10" model rearview mirror is a better fit for the Bronco. I'm returning my Wolfbox and getting a Pormido model instead (which also has the buttons on the front instead of bottom, and doesn't have all the connectors on the top). The Pormido also has the GPS antenna built into the mirror - I don't know why Wolfbox didn't do that. It makes so much more sense than to have a separate GPS antenna to mount. Wolfbox does make the G930 which is a 10" model, but it doesn't work with their OEM mirror mount.

Th only thing I'm not sure I like on the Pormido is the front camera is not integrated into the mirror like the Wolfbox, - it's on a short cable that connects to the mirror. Although this won't look as nice, it does provide for more optimal positioning options, and the camera won't move if the mirror is repositioned.

I didn't have any issues with the size of the mirror. I think it's great minus the vibration.

I'll send some photos later when I'm back in town. I used a couple very small screws and some backer plates I printed to secure the middle of the mount to the mirror's back. This way it will keep its cooling and it really just needed to be braced in the middle anyways. I haven't driven it yet as I just got it done.

@WolfBox - please fix this. Retroactively. No reason we need to this.

After winning the @WolfBox mystery box for May in the sponsor section of the forum, figure I’d post my thoughts if anyone else was considering a dash/action cam.

I’ve been wanting to get a dash camera for a while, especially dealing with Atlanta Traffic, but finding the right one was a bit overwhelming. My first thoughts after unboxing left me really impressed with the quality of the camera.

There are multiple ways to mount it either over or replacing the rear view mirror and now with the Tri version of the G900 the rear and cabin camera can both be used at the same time. There is even a GPS unit to support speed and direction details when driving or recording.

Decided to order a few extra accessories before installing from Wolfbox’s website. I went with the OEM mount, hardwire kit, and rear camera license plate mount.

Overall the install was very easy and pretty much plug and play which was a big plus! First removing the OEM rear view mirror, which was only secured by a torx screw, and mounted the WolfBox to the windshield. There are a few threads I referenced to make sure I did it right, so instead of detailing those steps again, check out the two linked threads below from @Bird Dog Off Road and @TheLawnDart .

For the rear camera, I struggled finding where I wanted to install. Since I’m running a 37inch spare tire with the Turn off-road reinforcement kit, I wanted to make sure the view wasn’t obstructed. Putting it on top of the brake light was one option and license plate mount the second. I left the wires relatively loose so I can re-asses after a few trips if the license plate mount was the right call. The good news is you can tilt the camera up and down from the mirror so it makes up for the height difference.

I strongly recommend the hardwire kit, the fuse taps made it super simple and no wire splicing needed. I followed TheLawnDart’s thread below to determine which fuses needed to be used and they were spot on. I also put the GPS unit in the center of the dash next to the sensor by the windshield. Cleaning up the wiring is the final item I’ll need to do when my garage cools down a bit.

Overall I’m very impressed with the WolfBox setup, so much so I’ll be buying a second for my other vehicle. Being able to swipe between cameras, record on road and trail rides, and having the always on parking recording checked all the boxes. The big benefit for me though was having an unobstructed rear mirror option now. Between putting the soft top down, big spare tire, and third brake light, my rear view was getting more limited, now that’s no longer an issue since the rear camera has direct views behind me. Hope this helps anyone considering a dash/action cam combo for their Bronco!

Glad you didn't put your rear cam on the brake light like I did.
It shakes so much it's almost unusable as a reliable rear view mirror.
It's also terrible in the rain, and the headlight glare at night also makes things quite hard to see.
How are you faring with rain and night glare?

I didn’t like the headlight glare at night being so low on the tag frame so I did move it to the top of the brake light which fixed that issue quick. Mine doesn’t rattle very much, which may be from the tailgate reinforcement. I noticed if I lift the camera a tad and tighten it not resting on the light it handles low speed movement better from rattling when I first installed it.

For rain, I sprayed a bit of rainX on a rag and wiped it to on which also helped with morning dew. I did notice an issue with water in the rear connection, causing it to force reverse mode on the screen, so found a tip to add a bit of dielectric grease inside that connection which has done the trick!

Ok, what rear light is that? That this is beefy and pretty cool. Also, are you running 40s? That tire looks ginormous!

You’re welcome, I’ve been extremely happy with all my Turn products. They make some great stuff for a good price, but their customer service is exceptional if you have questions.
