It's a black Bronco so I hard to get a good picture without it reflexing the other Bronco need to it, but as you can see in this picture. there is a edge of either clearcoat, ceramic coating that is higher then and area where the decal was when the decal is removed. Buffed it lightly with some compound and also rubbed it done with alcohol. Still no deference. it's 2023 Black Bronco. I'm guessing it a ceramic coating.

Maybe it's a portal??

Some of my thoughts are.....did you buy it used? if so maybe it has PPF on the fender and they used a kit to cut around the badge. My other thought was a crappy body shop painted the fender and masked off the badge instead of removing it.

Question about removing fender badges. Just bought my son a 2023 big band Sasquatch. He wants to remove the fender badge and just put the Bronco script on there. I took the fender badge off and there seem to be an indention in the paint where it goes on the body. Almost like there’s an extra coat of clear coat on the fender and when you take the badge off it leaves a little ridge the shape of the badge? Has anybody else run into this?
That appears to be a little ridge of adhesive.... Happens all the time. Expansion and contraction pushes a little bit of adhesive out from under the decal, the adhesive is clear..... Use isopropyl alcohol (or denatured if you have a quality brand you trust) and a little elbow grease... It will come off just fine.... I do this for a living. I see it all the time.

Where do you buy your elbow grease? Asking for a friend...

OK, I have an updated with the answer. the Bronco we bought was wrapped with a glossy clear wrap. Like some type of paint protection film. It's on the doors, hood, front fenders and rear quarter panels. Not on tailgate or top. I when I wasn't crazy. I've removed emblems before. What they did was cut out the clear film around the fender emblems. So, when I took the emblems off you could see where they were.

Looks like the last post of this thread was a while back but I am experiencing the same issue. OP @JimmyZ what was the end result of this?

What was the solution? Did you have the same issue on both sides? I removed one badge with no issue but ran into this prob with the other side.

it might be clear PPF cut around the fender badge. Raise the hood and look for a wrapped edge of PPF.
