I like it. Not sure I love it. Here are a few observations for for my first drive with the new knob:

Pros:
1) Looks good. It looks like it belongs in the vehicle.
2) Shifts better. I think that the added weight of the knob makes shifting between gears smoother. It's not a huge change, but enough to be noticeable.
3) Size/shape feels good. It's a smaller size than OEM and I wasn't sure if I'd like that. I had ordered the "Chisel" from Archetype cause it seemed like it was a closer matching shape to OEM, but the rounded Boomba has a good feel.
4) Metal wasn't too cold. I park in a garage, so maybe not a great test of temperature, but It was 20 degrees this morning and the knob didn't get too cold.

Cons:
1) Shift pattern (plug) sits a little higher on the knob than I'd like. It's not a deal breaker, but I feel like it was designed like this so that it can be removed, but aesthetically, I feel like it should be recessed a bit more and a smoother feel between the two parts.
2) It's not very unique looking. I really wish Boomba offered some variations in color. Even if it was as simple as the shift pattern plug or the Boomba lettering at the bottom.
3) At the bottom of the shift knob, near the reverse lock, the knob is not as smooth as I'd like. I think this edge could have been more rounded for a better feel. Not a big deal, but was different from what I recall on the OEM. Maybe this will grow on me?

Overall, the upgrade was worth it. I ordered mine using their 15% off black Friday deal, so for $80, it was worth it.
I tried to order a different cap for it, but the Ford/vw one is too smul

I can't remove my boomba for the life of me, I'm not a weak guy but feel they essentially superglued it on, and I'm looking to switch things up

Any advice on how to get it off, chooms?
What part won't come off? Is it the shift pattern cap, the screw under the cap, or the knob itself?

The knob itself. I got an allen key and a flat tool for the cap and screw, but again, while the shop who did the Boomba short shifter kit said they didnt glue it, feel I need to get something to help twist it off

Replace screw w/longer 5 mm socket head cap screw just a couple turns so it is higher than knob — will pop right off — I damaged my boomba trying to pry with screwdrivers, hammer claws etc
Gotcha. Ordered the tool there plus a twisted knob and a redline shift boot, freshen her up for next year

Can someone @Lifeliberty or @Bubbbba elaborate on this tool? Is this unique to adding a short shifter kit? I don't recall any sort of screwing the knob in when I replaced the OEM knob with the Boomba one.

Side note: I don't love the way that Boomba shift pattern appears to be warn off in the pics :(

@WoollyBugger or @Lifeliberty do either of you have a link to this? How hard was it to swap out?
It’s not hard to install the new lockout lever. Budget Bronco has a YouTube video about replacing the shift boot that shows the process for all of it. You have to remove the boot so it’s worth the watch.

Sometimes the boomba knob gets stuck on the shaft, and people have difficulty removing it. I've only heard about this with removal of the boomba knob. Bubbba said the shaft gets wedged in the boomba. But like I said, I never had the issue.

Ha! You covered the “Boomba” with red tape! Crafty. That’s not my favorite part of the knob either… I’m still debating that versus a Twisted factory height knob.

Got the twisted shifter knob. Looks great in person. Nice size, bigger than the AR, lighter weight, but sits a lot higher which I like
