Redline Hood lift Max

Just installed these a few days ago. Sure is nice to have the extra 8 inches and for the price and a lifetime warranty it’s a good value. I left the rod as a back up but these work nicely.

I'll convert the hood-rod to a puller-downer thingy for my short and wide spousal unit to be able to close the hood.

As a short king, I’d be afraid I couldn’t get the hood back down with those struts that high.

Those are fine for someone who's six foot tall. I bought the regular Redline struts. They lift the hood about as far as the support rod.

As a short king, I’d be afraid I couldn’t get the hood back down with those struts that high.

I got the same ones. At 5’ 10” I grab the latch on the hood to pull it down. I suspect this would be achievable down to about 5’ 6” before tippy toes get involved

Where there’s a will there’s a way. Unmount spare, muscle if off tailgate, roll to front of vehicle, lay on its side (for safety, trust me on this one), close hood, reverse steps. Sure it adds 10 minutes and a couple of tools to simply top off your washer fluid but struts are like super cool

I’ve got a step ladder I’ve had to use to really get in the engine bay, no worries there lol. I’m 5’4” on a good day

When the money is burning a big enough hole in the wallet, I’ll get these, maybe the not so high versions.

Really like these as well. Got the silver finish version direct from Redline. I do not support Crapazon. Otherwise solid purchase, OP.
