OK I know I'm going to feel stupid when somebody answers this, but how on Earth do you remove the rear wiper blade?

Mine is completely shot and has strands of rubber dangling. But I can't figure out how to remove it. I've tried pulling, pushing, twisting, sliding, looking for release tabs, and pretty much everything. I even watched a couple of youtube videos but nothing seems to help. It's like the darn thing is welded on there! This is embarrassing. I'm at the point where I actually spent a few minutes thinking it might be easier to replace the entire arm just to get a new blade on it. What do I do???

I will try mine today and see if that is how mine releases. You could have put that you had tried that in your notes. Did you do the second step of pulling toward the vehicle? Ducati will know as he works in a Ford service department.

I did try, both the sliding outward to the right and the pull toward the vehicle. It doesn't move on the first step. A little help please @Ducati1098

There's tons of people out there with Soft Tops asking "What's this 'Rear Wiper' thing?, I thought Broncos didn't have those."

The video that @Valhalla linked is correct.
They can be very hard to get off sometimes.
Grab the wiper arm with your left hand and the wiper blade with your right hand then just pull until it releases, then it just slides off the post on the arm.

Sometimes it's easier to push/pull back and forth on the wiper blade just to kind of wiggle it loose.

Thank you. I’ll try again later today. Very hard is an understatement. I was pulling hard enough that I worried about breaking it. And it only moved about a millimeter.

You might try spraying a little soapy water in there to help it slide on. Don't get it on the parts you are gripping.

Spray a little PB Blasters on it and clean up any overspray. Let it "soak" for a bit then try.

It’s off! But it took a ridiculous amount of force. Probably in the neighborhood of 75-80 pounds. Once it popped free the first time it became much easier to get the blade on and off.

Could you see anything that was making it sticky / stick?

Not really. Maybe a little bit of dirt and grime when I wiped off the mounting pin. After the first time it clicks off with about 5-10 pounds of force.

Don't pull on it like my Ford dealer did and then try and superglue it back together.
