I had my 2023 Bronco in for a few recalls. They said they performed Recall 23S48 that involves replacing the rear view camera. My paperwork shows they did the work and has a serial number for the new camera.
A few weeks before having the recall work done, my camera got a scratch on it when a tire shop employee put my spare on after fixing a flat. It is pretty minor and I knew the recall was to replace the camera, so I did not worry about it at the time. However, the scratch is still there after the recall (see attached picture). I had imagined the camera would be all 1 unit with an integrated lens, etc, but is that not the case? Is it possible to perform this recall to replace the camera but have the same exact scratch still present?
