So my rear end is drooping a little bit due to heavy gear in the back and my OCD car me is having me look into a spacer lift on rear shocks. Since the Bronco has a solid rear axel I'm assuming no need for a rear alignment there. With it being only a 1/2" rear spacer lift, I don't see that altering front end alignment. Any thoughts... am I missing something? Better safe than sorry or OK to go?

Yeah you won't need an alignment only messing with the rear.

Keep in mind a spacer lift on the rear is pretty much linear with how thick the spacer is (unlike the front). Not sure how much you're sagging in the rear but a half inch spacer will only raise the rear about a half inch

Thanks. I am aware. Debating between 1/2" and 3/4" spacer for 1:1 lift. I just want to get it back to stock look.

The rear oem springs, as well as most non “heavy duty” springs, are close to 250 lbs/in. With the oem designed 1” rake you can put close to 500 lbs over the rear axle and not squat (motion ratio of about 1.1 in rear).

unless you are carrying >500 lbs in back a better solution is to remove leveling kit from front and get back 1” oem rake. If you are carrying >500 lbs best solution is heavier springs. If you also want lift (both front and back) for larger tires make sure to provide some rake when empty.

Thanks. I don't have a leveling kit, unless my non-SAS BD comes with a leveling kit OEM from factory where I can remove that. Stock my BD had a little bit of a forward rake (that I liked) that went away with gear in the rear (including heavier tire as a spare with upgrading those) and passengers don't help. Just my OCD on this stuff. I do not like nose up - even a bit. I don't like a flat line. I like the slight front factory rake my BD came with.

Rake or squat could change the front caster angle, or no?

1/2 to 3/4" in the rear (especially if a 4 door) is going to have the same effect on the front as a bag of groceries. The math just doesn't math to a discernable difference

OK, that kind of makes sense.

I just did a quick estimation. Say the rear sags 1 inch, 4dr wheelbase is 116''. The caster angle could change by

arctan(1/116) ~~ 0.5 deg. It's not significant enough unless your alignment number is right on the boundary.

You could just go up one size in rear or down one size in front. Just a thought. No suspension modifications.

Good day all. Need some advice on leveling kit and fitment. I just had my dealer install the ford 2 inch performance lift (struts with coil overs) on my 2023 OBX. I like the product but still have the drop in the front. I purchased a KSP performance leveling kit (puck) but I’m not sure if it will fit. It seems as though the studs are too long at the top of the strut. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Advice would be to leave it that way such that its then level if you put basically anything in the back (like people, stuff, etc). Otherwise you don't look as good as you think you do in the driveway unloaded when you're driving around dragging tail

Thanks. I did think about that but just can’t get past the 2 inch difference

I would think that the coil overs would take a lot of weight to squat it down a huge amount. Your thoughts?
