I reached out to most of the leveling kit manufactures (excluding Rough Country) via email to see if they would tell me the specs of their leveling kits - specifically the thicknesses of the spacers. Most either responded that they didn't know, or that they don't give that info out.

I called Readylift and spoke to someone that was supposed to offer technical assistance for lift installs. He stated that their 1.25" level kit had a top spacer that was 3/4" thick and the bottom spacer was 1" thick. I told him this was not possible and he assured me the measurement were correct. So basically that was no help.

The one company that was really helpful was Fabtech. There 1.5" level kit spacer is .875" thick. They said that after install (and springs settling back in) that it would provide ~1.5" of lift in the front. If installed in the rear, it would provide ~1" of lift.
Has anyone installed the Fabtech level kit on Sasquatch with 35s?

Buy either RC or Zone 2 inch lift. These give you four spacers that are about 1.5" high. Since the front has a ratio of about 1.5:1 they will push the front up about 2.25". But they only push the back up 1.5 inches.
Interesting! I’ve been looking for this sort of info on here.

So the uniform-size spacers still do provide some leveling? Seems counterintuitive, but it makes sense.

Has this been verified IRL?

It varies from kit to kit, but most provide four of the exact same height. Since the front lower pivot (base of coilover) is inboard from the wheel location it has about a 1:1.5 effect. The rear is about 1:1. There are now quite a few different lift and or level kits that work in various ways. I know that the RC 2 inch kit has four 1.6 inch spacers that are identical (2.4 inches front / 1.6 inches rear), while the Zone 2 inch kit has slightly taller and angled back spacers (guessing it would be about 2.2 inches front / 1.6 inches rear) which again has leveling built in, but not quite as much.

From what I have seen, the four door drivers like these lift/levels, while the two door's don't seem to need as much if any, and they need to add a little to the back (shim with RC level washers) or mix and match components to get a more even lift.

I'm waiting for the Ford Performance suspension to come out, if not priced too bad I might go that way.

Otherwise, I think I will go with the Ready Lift 1 1/4" up front (I like the split design of this one and Zone 1") and a 1.5" FabTech (front) used in the rear which should give 1".

The other option of course is someone's Sasquatch take offs.

Does anyone following this thread have experience with Daystar lifts? Rather than offset bolts and studs they extend the studs therefore eliminating the need to rotate the hat. Sounds simpler to me, wondering if it is as strong?

Here’s my non-Sasquatch fitted with Sasquatch wheels and the Ready Lift 1.25” up front. Space between the flare and the tire on the fronts and rears is 5 3/8” with an empty vehicle. When you get two people in the front seats the front drops about 3/8”.

Does anyone happen to know the thickness of the top and bottom spacer for the Readylift 1.25" level kit. I already know that it is not going to add up to 1.25" as it needs to be much less than this due to the ratio of spacer to actual lift on an independent front suspension.

I was wanting to order this for my Base Sasquatch that should arrive next month. However, I watched a video where they were uninstalling the kit because it raised the front more like 1.5-1.75 inches. They replaced it with the Rough Country 1" level kit and it dropped it more than .5" from where it was with the Readylift.

Also if anyone knows the thickness of other brand (rough country, zone, etc) 1" spacers that would be great for comparison. Might also be able to mix and match spacers to get the desired height.
Warning
Seems like all lifts result in steering rack and tie rod failures

Is it level or higher in the front with the Ready lift 1.25?

Nearly identical. Maybe 1/8” higher in the front empty but it drops the front 1/4” with two people in the front seats. Here are the front(top picture) and rear wheel to flare gaps. I measured with my daughter in the drivers seat, full tank and the flare to tire gaps were identical.

I ended up buying both the Zone 1” spacer kit and the Readylift 1.25” spacer kit to decide which I like better. Here are some pics side by side. The Readylift is a higher quality product with nicely machined edges, but I prefer the hardware on the Zone kit better because of the pinch nuts for the top of the strut instead of flare nuts that will cause rust when they gouge the coating off the frame. The Zone is laser cut and has some flash from the initial pierce under the powder coating. The total height on the 1” Zone kit is .628” (1:1.59 shock ratio), total height in Readylift is .742” (1:68 shock ratio). Using the stated standard on here of 1:1.5 for spacer height to lift for the front the Zone lift should be .942” and the Readylift should be 1.113”. Both top and bottom spacers on the Readylift kit are thicker than Zone. I can measure each individually if someone wants. The instructions for the Zone call for removing the spindle and pushing the stub axle out of the hub, the Readylift has you remove the lower control arm bolts keeping the stub axle secured.

My truck measures 1.5” high in the rear unloaded. I need to add some gear and my bike rack and see where it sits. At this point I’m planning on installing the Readylift kit. I don’t hate a little rear squat, very common on prerunner trucks where I came from in AZ.

Here is my truck unloaded on the new tires, it was backed in to take this picture, so the toe angle might be pulling the front end down a bit. The front is 1.5” low measured at the fender flares centered on the wheel hub sitting in my garage.

Icon has it in their instructions. Think they’re the only ones that do. if you’re mixing n matching, hope you’re cycling your suspension to check for potential issues.

motion ratio for bronco is somewhere around 0.61 - 0.64. So spacer size/0.64 gives you approximate lift at the wheel. A top hat spacer will not settle, but anything that preloads the spring may. It’s also common that lift kit makers round up so don’t be surprised if it’s less.

You and I are thinking along the same lines. I also have a sasquatch on order.

However, in my opinion, the front can not take too much spacer lift. I figure that it can take about 0.75-1.00 inch of spacer lift safely. If you look at the kits that are approved for the sasquatch, they are either just spring preload (perch or spacer), or are a combination of small lift and preload. But, preload is not great for the Bilstein shocks, because they are position sensitive, and are designed to operate at a certain range. There are small perches in the Zone 3 inch kit (rear set) that could be used on a combination "mini lift" (i.e. 3/4 spacer + 3/4 spring preload for 1.5 total), but as soon as you introduce the preload, you will be pulling apart the coilover assembly. I digress.

Using spacers in the back is perfectly fine (up to a point). However, unlike the front, there is no lower spacer to add, and there is no muliplier for the back (1:1). So, you can only add the spacers to the top. And, once you go longer than the factory studs, you will be adding a "60 degree turn spacer". Meaning that you will need to turn the coilover hat to use them on the Bilsteins (the turn spacers have offset mounts - not just a bolt through washer). Note that the standard shocks do not require turning the hats using a turn spacer. So, you really can only washer spacer lift the back end about 0.4 inches.

That is why I put up the example of 0.92 front and 0.38 rear lift. This is about as far as you can spacer lift the Bilsteins without the need to pull them apart - from what I can tell...
Great post lurker....

Question - I have a 24" non-sasquatch. Could I spacer lift the rear slightly more than .4" without running into any issues.

I think when you mentioned that the sasquatch Bilsteins can't be raised more than .4", but I was wondering about a non-sasquatch.

It sounds like you don't own a non-sasquatch so if you don't know it's all good. Figured I would try!

Thanks!
