Not sure what they didn't get right but after driving cars with frameless windows for the last 20+ years I can say for sure frameless does not equal rattling.

They got something wrong, because the rattle is real.

I never claimed it to be a problem that exists on all frameless windows designs. But I do believe the window on the Bronco would not rattle if it was framed.

Yeah, it's a bad design and should have be engineered correctly from the get go.
Mine never rattled until dealer had it for 3 weeks replacing the stay bar disconnect as it broke for some unknown reason. Came back with 40 extra miles on it and a rattling drive side window . I think this happens when a clip or two is loose or broken. Rattles to the point I'm thinking the window will pop out.

That's what I meant, you can have frameless with no rattling every single one of my Mustangs had no rattle what so ever when halfway down. Which is why I said "not sure what they didn't get right".

And I phrased it that way specifically because if Ford got it right on several generations of Mustangs, why the sudden problem with a Bronco. Grasping at straws and not in attempt to give Ford an out but maybe because the Bronco windows are not as long and taller than a Mustang?

There is hardly any play in mine when in any downward position, so I have absolutely no idea why the rattle when going over bumps. It’s pretty violent when it happens.

I have no idea either. I live in a port city that is criss-crossed with railroad tracks that the approaches have been demolished by years of big rigs rolling over them. I feel like I will break a shock or a rim before, at the very least destroy my alignment before the window rattles.

Which is why I am interested in this thread. I haven't taken delivery of my Bronco yet but if the rattle is that bad I may just bust a window on my way to work with the window partially open.

I used to have a 1994 Subaru Legacy RS-TT (Frameless Windows as well), lowered and stiffened up on coils…. Never once in five years of ownership did I ever have a single window rattle. Let alone any rattle as bad as the partially drawn Bronco window - this isn’t a frameless window thing, it’s a design flaw through and through. I thought the window exploded the first time I went over a set of railroad tracks with it half lowered, it scared the shit outta me

Ya I’ve already been through that. Both the dealer and myself. It’s the same procedure as fixing the window getting caught on the weatherstripping when opening door, causing a horrible shake and rattle. Can make them better but they still suck. It’s a badly designed window system.
At least this an acknowledgment from Ford that there is a problem.

on Facebook, at the bronco 6th gen group there is a post - apparently Ford recognizes this is a real problem and issued some kind of service bulletin to the dealers. Window glass inside door needs adjustment. Not sure if it is legit yet...

Hi there. This doesn't sound like an experience we want you to have with your Bronco. Could you please send us a PM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you with this rattle concern on my end.
