Did my first rear axle gear oil change today, super easy with drain plug on the Raptors Thanks to @Finbox

To get all the gear oil out I jacked up the passenger side a bit so fluid would drain what remained...make sure and put on parking brake and chock your tires when doing this..

I used Loctite thread sealant on both plugs....go easy on tightening the plugs especially the fill plug that goes into the aluminum fill cover, dont torque em, u will feel when they are just snug.

It's all in the Ford technical manual. Per manual, the diff drain and fill plugs are one time use, same part #, both magnetic. Transfer case you reuse with loctite.

I refreshed all three at 1,200 miles. I'll do it again at 5K for posterity.

It would take a lot of off and on to need to replace them plugs...just use sealant and drive it

I'm just sharing what the Ford tech docs say dude including the fact that there's a drain hole. Do whatever you want.
