How many people have run into this issue. My 16 Mustang would do this randomly also. What was your fix? It just doesn't even power up. Usually a key cycle after driving is my fix.

Press and hold the power & Fast forward button for about 5 seconds. Otherwise pull the negative battery terminal for 5 minutes.

If neither of those work/help, a visit to the dealer

Have you recently had an OTA update? Mine did this a few times after one had recently occurred. I did the reset that was recommended by @Boreal but ultimately it corrected itself in a day or so. I never did disconnect the battery to try that method though.

It should still be under warranty, so worst case scenario I’d take it in to the dealership to be looked at.

I had the same experience recently, whether the radio not working, the screen freezing mid-animation, or briefly remaining black, and also suspected it was OTA-related. All were only briefly, and resolved on their own, or after the next powercycle.

Happened to me as well but it was tied to the driver aids and dash going out as well. The car was in the shop for only a couple weeks, it didn’t need anything back ordered which was fortunate.

Did they say what the issue was/what needed to be replaced?

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I don't fully recall, I'll see if I can find the paperwork. I do know some of it was a "software update" whatever that actually means or was done, but there was also a "wire harness" that needed to be replaced.

Mine just did this tonight so I came here to see what to do. The power fast forward thing didn’t work. Disconnected the negative and will get back asap.
