Went to Leatherwood Off Road Park in Leatherwood, KY this past weekend (great place by the way). I did not notice the damage to the rear shock mount until I got back to Ohio. The bronco drove fine. I'm seeking some advice - do I need to worry about this? Does it only have to be fixed by Ford? Ballpark, how much will it cost? Does the shock need to be replaced or was it only the rock protector that got knocked off?

My Bronco is a 2023 Badlands 2.3L MT all stock.

First 3 pics are drivers side, last is passenger side that is only a little off.

Thanks for any advice.

It's fine.
IF you wanted to straighten it most of the way back out you can with a 2lb sledge and/or a large crescent wrench.

Or any competent weld shop could fix it up for you.

No need to take to Ford.
There is no rock protector on those. I.E. Skid plate. Several available aftermarket to install, though, to prevent this exact scenario.

Me? I'd straighten it back out, install a set of Barnes 4X4 skids on there and drive on.

I went with the skids from DV8. They are very robust and protect the lower trailing arm. I tagged both on a recent trip. I had also bent the front-facing finger on the mount. An 18" crescent wrench was what I used to put it back. It looks like you also bent, and twisted the actual shock attachment point. Likely that can be fixed the same way but you may have to remove the shock bolt in order to get it bent back. Look at my installation write-up on the DV8 site to see how I got the bolt out as it's installed with 350 ft-lbs of torque. BTW, I also installed their differential skid.

skids are a great investment. I have DV8 Front lower A arm and rear shock mount skids and JCR Offroad engine and transmission skid plates.

You are definitely okay, as others have mentioned, a small sledge hammer will straighten that out, and then install of shock skids. I went with Bronco Buster shock skid plates.

Nice to see that you have been using your Bronco the way it was meant to be used!
