It's 50-state legal since July of '24. And the rev-matching feature was taken out.

But... why leave this plugged in all the time?

You don't have to leave it plugged in if you don't want to.

You can set up some PID monitors and do some basic data logging with it, and it can evalutate and clear ***some DTCs. But yeah, I think most people just chuck the box in the glove box unless they need to calibrate their speedometer or something.

I can say, when I see people get this dealer-installed, the dealer tends to route it someplace really awkward and in the way - probably so they can do something to justify charging several hundred dollars for the installation.

Yeah, I prefer leaving my OBDLink MX+ plugged in for anything other than the rare need for the ProCal tool.

@COBB Tuning , any progress in cracking the ECU? We want real tunes so we can take advantage of all the power left on the table with our mods

I leave mine plugged in to see the intake air temp, air charge temp, and cylinder head temp since Ford decided not to give us a coolant temp gauge to go with oil temp in the non raptor display.

Review and install:

You don't need to keep it plugged in. Once the vehicle has been flashed with the performance calibration it's on there until you return the vehicle to stock. The only reason to keep it plugged in would be to either datalog the vehicle or if you wanted to see real time readings of certain parameters.

As to the rev match unfortunately that feature was removed a while back and is no longer available.

If anyone is looking at picking up a device we have plenty in stock with free 2nd day air shipping. Use coupon code MOM at checkout for our mothers day sale discount.

If you have any other questions please let us know.

Thanks!

@Mr.Clean , your right the largest and most useful (for daily driving) improvement is that low-to-mid torque improvement, from say 2500 to 4500 rpm. As you point out it is especially useful if you have a manual due to the wider ratio spread between gears. It's amusing, I remeber the days when if you had a 5 speed you had a "closer ratio" transmission. Today's auto's almost make the 6 speed manuals of these Bronco's seem like the three-on-the-tree I learned on so many moons ago...

Ah yes, three-on-the-tree... those were the days. Used to drive an electrical work van with one of those. 351C and glasspacks had a nice growl.
