not sure the cost but I would return it. Could try same one. Plenty of other brands that work well for a reasonable price.

I have a SunJoe. Nothing special but gets the job done.

I bought one of those from Costco a couple of years ago. Went thru 3 of them exchanging them. Finally just returned the last one and bought a Greenworks one from Lowes. A little more money but a much better machine. Has been going strong keeping my fleet of rigs clean.

The video shows a giant leak where the pressure hose connects.
hmmmm ...

is that the reason for the machine behaving like it is having stoke?

Sounds like it’s receiving the plans to build a portal to Vega.

Take it back!

And to answer your question, I'd never use a pressure washer on a vehicle. You can do damage.

Costco will let you return anything.

I had a similar issue with that Husqvarna model from Costco. I exchanged it for a new one and haven't had any issues since.

Per the instruction manual be sure water is flowing to the unit before powering on or you could damage the internals.

Just use common sense and keep the tip a safe distance away from painted surfaces. No more dangerous than going to a touch-less car wash.

Black tip 3 inch wash is what people think of when they advise against using a pressure washer on a car.

I would say bring it back. The one I have and use on all my cars trucks and equipment is no longer offered. Use the yellow tip and was the mud away. I have been doing this for years without any issues. I would recommend this one Pressure Washer.

I unhook the handle and wrap the hose after every use.

I hook up the handle hook up the hose turn on the hose and spray for a few seconds to burp the system.

I then turn on the power and pull the trigger for a few more seconds to burp what every else might be in the line.

Make sure there are no leaks, get new hose end gaskets and make sure all fittings are tight.

I'd read you don't need anything over 1000 psi for a typical car wash.
GPM will be more important for that use, but the pressure washer is also more water use friendly than a garden hose.
So the ideal was set at 1000psi @ 2gpm.

Which is why I bought the cheep $99 Greenworks 1700 from Lowes.
Good rep for longevity despite it's price point.
I run the 45* tip.

Not a ton of "blasting: pressure, but right where it should be for a car wash.

I want to put a gauge on the HP side and adjust my tip size so pressure will max out around 1000psi and whatever GPM the little bastard can throw at it.
