Yes, part of the preinstalled wiring harness. The trailer tow package is now a dealer installed option even if ordered āfactory installedā (as you may know). They take this box off when they install the hitch receiver. They gave this loose piece and the bolts to me after they put on the receiver.In this metal box is a plug. its a bit of a PIS to remove the bolts holding the box are really in there. I just zip tied to the frame as I only added the receiver for a bike rack. If anybody knows of a good option to mount the plug separately next to an installed receiver Iād love the suggestionIn this metal box is a plug. Is this wiring for trailer hitch?![]()
I had long, tight bolts that required a lot of elbow grease to back out. I donāt recall issues w washers.How did you unscrew the bolts to remove the box? The plastic washers donāt seem to come off.
