I figure this won't be covered under warranty. Went from stock BD 265/70r17 tires to 285/75r16 E load. A lot heavier than stock, but still a little lighter than SAS tires and wheels. Figure with HOSS 1.0 dealer will nix warranty with these heavier/wider tires. Only 12.2k miles on BD and about 1.5k with new bigger/heavier tires.
Anyway, coming to stop (even without brakes by downshifting 7MT) popping and clunking sound drivers front tire area. Guessing tie rod, end link, shock, bushing, wheel bearing, steering rack/stabilizer... could be anything. Who knows until it is looked at by my mechanic. One thing I will check tomorrow is lug nuts, but I doubt it as safety checked two weeks after new tires were put on.
My question is... any common/known points of failure with HOSS 1.0 to look for first with aftermarket tires/wheels that weigh close to SAS tires/wheels?
