Has anyone experienced problems with the charger? When I place my IPhone on it it gets hot and doesn’t charge.

Yes it is garbage.

I upgraded to the Mabbett one with the dual fans. Still garbage, gets too hot and doesn't actually charge.

Known issue since day 1, there's a flash for it but it doesn't do anything. I replaced mine as well, but truth is I use the area for mints and sunglasses and just went back to a cable for the phone.
+1 for how well it works holding sunglasses :)

I think forescan can do it, you could also take it apart and unplug it but I'm not sure it would be worth the trouble.
Unless your mints and sunglasses also get too warm....

It doesn’t matter if it’s a BMW or Ford. My last four cars including the Bronco are exactly like yours. Phone warmers. Never use them anymore.

Incredibly frustrating that it unfortunately that the wireless charger that is part of LUX does nothing to advance the charge on a phone.

Just makes it hot.

My hypothesis is the root cause is that the coils don't stay lined up when driving and the phone moves around slightly because Ford did not implement MagSafe for iPhone.

I have seen some people make a 3D printed insert and actually put a MagSafe charger there to solve the problem.

Look at it as a feature, not a bug.

Heated steering wheel doesn't get hot enough? Make your phone go supernova on the wireless charger and use that to warm your hands instead!
