Hey all!
Picked up my Bronco today that's been on ice mountain since January. Firstly, certainly worth the wait. Also the team at my dealership were great to work with and the out of state travel was well worth it. I'll try to get photos tomorrow when the sun is out but the factory assembly line photo does a nice job of highlighting the issue. If you look above the windshield on the passenger side you will see the paint has a halo effect or some paint defect. Smooth to the touch and the paint is in tact but something went wrong in that spot. Out of sun the defect is almost unnoticeable unless standing at certain angles, however in sunlight itsbquite unsightly. Unfortunately it was like this upon pickup but dealer noted they would let their service dept know Monday. My question is has anyone else seen similar paint defect to this and is tuis something Ford should be covering especially with the photo at the factory showing this existed prior to delivery to the dealer....I'd hate to have to travel 4 hours to and from the dealer again for something that a local shop could do.
@Ford Motor Company

Edit...noticed these beauts on the tailgate...paint buildup below the hinges...quality control for ya

Take it to a local dealership with a body shop and see what they say. I had an issue with my hood (fitment, not paint) and Ford sent a new hood which was then painted by the dealership. My original dealership did not have their own body shop but sent it to one that they had a relationship with that did have their own body shop.

Damn, so it has been there since production. I don't know if others have it. I haven't noticed anything like that on my 2DR EG, but if it is subtle in most light conditions I may not have noticed.

The dealer body shop or one they work with should be able to clear it up.
