P0035 Check Engine Light

"Turbocharger bypass valve 'A' control circuit high"

I'm 94,000 miles into my 100,000 mile warranty and will be bringing it in to the dealership next week. Just wondering if anyone else has had this one pop up and what was done to fix it.

It's a 2021 2.7 Outer Banks that sees about 120 miles a day for my commute.

So far, it feels slightly sluggish, but no other symptoms. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Either a faulty bypass valve or an issue with the wiring between it and the PCM. Can't say for sure without testing.

Have had this same issue ongoing for months. I've been to two dealers, and they still can't figure it out. It is not the blowoff valve itself because I replaced it, just to be sure. One dealer saying I caused it by attaching my compressor wiring to the factory wiring whihc they say "MAY have kept the wiring harness from freely moving and caused it to break somewhere... they "think" they found the short in the wiring harness, but they don't want to tear my Bronco down to fix it because I have aftermarket parts.

My experience/takeaway so far is that it's a big job to remove or replace the wiring harness and if it's a busy dealer, they're not interested in messing with it to get paid Ford billed hours/rates from warranty repair work espeically if it tuns into a bigger job than they anticipated, so they make excuses and get you to move on by.

My situation aside, I am curious if you were able to get yours sorted and what was happening. I realize my cause may be different from yours, but the more I know, the better. Thanks!

I apologize. I really wanted to update this thread when I figured it out and totally forgot.

Apparently it turned out to be a rodent chewing through some wires going to one of the turbos as well as up to the active grille shutters. They were able to make repairs and I didn't have to spend $2500+ on a new set of grille shutters like they originally thought.

Since the repair, I haven't had any other codes and the Bronco is driving great. I'm at 105k miles now so hopefully nothing else crazy happens!

have you found any magic bullet for the rodents? They cost me $600 last month, and the same turbo code just came up for my check engine light, I’m assuming the rodents are at it again.

Correct, unfortunately it was not covered under warranty. The dealer did however only charge a small amount to fix some of the wiring. However it also looks like my grille shutters are not working either so I don't think it was entirely fixed. No more P0035 code though...

I have used some of the rodent spray stuff that's on Amazon. It has mint in it or something. I've only used it sporadically but haven't had any additional rodent damage...
