2023 Hertiage 2 door. I want to add a front hitch so i can add simple homeplow for just my driveway. My research has so far brought me to getting a modular bumper then i can use the x rack front receiver hitch. But I pretty sure then I need a winch plate. Had anyone mounted a front hitch without a winch plate. If so, how? Side question, assuming i do need to get modular bumper is it safe to assume i can get fog lights still and use same switch?

I did see that the rough country hidden winch works with capable bumper but it also has you cutting off the frame extensions. Not sure how i feel about modifying the frame.

Last question first...yes, if you swap bumpers, you can repurpose your existing fog light wiring to connect new lights.

For plowing snow...
Personally, I would not do it with my Bronco (or really, any vehicle that I cared about). Plowing is some of the harshest abuse you can dish out. I would look into an atv/utv w/plow setup instead or a very cheap (probably already rusted out) truck that I can keep alive for a few months every winter.

But if I had to put a plow on my Bronco I would remove the bumper completely and attach directly to frame rails.

That x rack front receiver hitch looks like a good option but it does mount to the winch plate. I am surprised there are not more options.

Call/ message Nick at Xrac. He will tell you how he installed his. He is a Bronco owner, not just a seller of parts.
