I would like to know if the oil port sensor is before or after the oil filter.

I am going to be doing some work in that port with the sensor off and would like to know how careful I should be about getting any debris in there. I know I should be careful anyway but if it goes directly to the bearings from the port I need to make sure it get zero particles in there.

I will probably plug it with a set screw if I can find one with the correct thread but I would still like to know, is that port before or after the oil filter?

This old thread may help.
