I was ducked while in my '06 LJ. I keep the duck in my Bronco though......hanging from a noose on the rear view mirror ;)

It's all in the company you keep. I was ducked last weekend after being the only Bronco on the trail . It's sitting in my shop and not in the Bronco though, LOL.

Ever the contrarian, but I like the new boot-up screen. It maybe just because of that: it's new.

I've seen both rolling rocks AND the blue screen with bronco logo seemingly randomly on mine.. so I don't even know what the new screen everyone is talking about is.

I just got an FDRS license yesterday to update for my bumper/winch and poke around under the hood a bit - my first time using it.

There was an update to the ACM listed, but when I went to install it, it would error out saying something to the effect of "Update already installed" on "Contacting Corporate Server" step of the update. Since it was still working (as good as it ever did) I left well enough alone and didn't fool with it any further.

Nothing listed for APIM though - which I think is where the rolling rocks makes it's home.

No other updates on FDRS for my vehicle.

I still have rolling rocks.
I am preparing to do the RCM update after installing the FP winch. What adapter did you use to connect FDRS to the Bronco? Any lessons learned before I proceed? Thanks

There are others more experienced with FDRS than me, and I’ve had a few beers since I did this but

I used a VXdiag VCX Nano. No issues with it at all. Getting the FDRS account and license straight took some futzing around but eventually got it to work. FDRS ran really slow on my laptop - like almost 5 minutes to start up the first time. But once it was running it did fine.

Make sure you have it in a spot where you can be connected to both your Bronco and the internet at the same time - FDRS live streams procedures as you need them.

Make sure your battery is on a tender.

Thanks. When you say "internet connected" I am assuming wifi is fine. I don't have internet hardwired in the garage.

I would advise against using the VCX Nano or anything cheaper than an Opus Mongoose cable.

My 2021 still has the rocks intro and I have mine set to auto update. It only goes away when my battery is a little low after not driving it for a couple weeks- changed that with a Noco battery tender. I’m still on my original battery from November 2021.
That may have been what was going on with mine, as I noticed it was played the rolling rocks the last time I drove it and i was suddenly wondering if I imagined it being gone in the first place.

I finally lost my rolling rocks yesterday. Sitting at my son's practice when the update came across.
