New Tire after Body Work. Mismatched?

My 2024 4DR bronco outerbanks was hit on 12/13/2024 while parked and after being with Gerber for a month, I finally got it back.
For the most part it looks great. I was a little bummed that they just drilled the license plate into the front bumper instead of using the factory mount that i originally had.... but i can deal with that.
However, i noticed that the new tire on the front wheel doesnt match the sidewall and tread of the original tires.
They both appear to be Dueler A/T 255/70R18 though. Is this something to be concerned about?

Is Ford's OEM tire that different? Maybe there was a difference in versions of the tire. That tread pattern actually looks somewhat similar to the stock GY's on Sas.

Personally, I would mount that wheel/tire as the spare and put the matching factory spare into service. Another thought would be to mount that wheel/tire on the passenger side rear and do some smokey burnouts to wear it down a bit.

Or, use this as your excuse to go to 37's......

You joke... but this might be the nudge I needed to pull the trigger on the general grabbers I was looking at. Not 37s, but i dont have a lift and with the gear ratio i have, i dont want to go too heavy on the tires.

Incorrect tire. Bridgestone makes about 6 or 7 different versions of the dueler series tire. Take it back and have them correct it.

Other than visually not matching (I actually think the new one looks better ) the only concern i guess i have is weight.

It would probably be ok but not sure I’d want two different tread patterns running in heavy rain, mud or snow

That and it just triggers my OCD

They ordered and put the wrong tire on…make them fix it...do not run mismatched tires on 4wd vehicles

New one looks great with the more aggressive sidewall. I think the OE spec Dueler is a less aggressive version of the retail market RH-S, definitely optimized for efficiency.

I definitely like the new one better, with the more aggressive sidewall. I returned to the body shop and they are getting me the correct one that matches OE... in a perfect world, id get five of the new ones but i cant expect that.

If the looks don't bug you, you won't hurt anything running it as long as they are the same size you are all good!

Absolutely. Thats a current vehicle, they should be able to match the tires.
Tread pattern looks different also. It wont hurt anything but it looks wrong.
Go to the Bridgestone website and see if you can match it.
Take it back and ask them to check it out.

New one looks like a Dueler A/T Ascent, Which only came out last August, if I'm not mistaken.. So it definitely wouldn't be a match for the OEM. I'd at a minimum want the tires per axle side to side to match.

I'd take it back and tell the folks that did the work that.

Unless you just wanted to upgrade all the tires anyway, this would be a good time for it...

The body shop setup a swap with a local tire shop but the tire shop ordered the same tire. They suggested that the OE may be discontinued. So now here I am with 1 mismatched tire and no idea what to do without buying five new tires of my own. For now we’ve moved the mismatched tire to the spare position.
