New Start Up Animation

I hate updates. You never know what you're getting .

"Update" is quickly becoming the worst word in the English language. 99% chance that it wasn't necessary and some underqualified goomba that got their programming "degree" from Reddit wrecked some critical function, all because someone said "hey we should change the GUI for the 1000th time for no reason!"

How about an update to get rid of stupid animations altogether? I just want my bronco to turn on, I don't want a movie to play on my screen.

I have had my updates turned off since March so I am not a good candidate to say. I am curious if the consensus is the loading screen is gone or not. My wife's Bronco has them turned on but she has the 8" screen and nothing has changed for her (actually, she is the one with all of the issues with bluetooth connecting.)

Weird. I got the new update and now I have the boulders back, they have been gone for 6-8 months.

Compass still points North no matter what though. (and no it's not the sending unit, it reads correctly on the dash display)

And it turned Hill Start Assist back on. Seriously, do I have to turn that stupid thing back off every single time it updates? At least it didn't set my clock to Greenwitch time this time.

My friend posted about this, he’s a ford tech and had to fix one. Involved tearing out the entire interior to replace a pinched wire or gps sensor thing. If you want I’ll dig through and find it but I would just leave it cause it’ll never be the same after that mess

But the emergency flasher switch is not in the position I demand! It's undrivable!!

They did the same steps on mine....4 visits....nothing changed.

if not a Lux - sneak in and run a usb cable up to the top of the dash. Looks easy when the interior is out lol

Mine is set for auto updates and it hasn't updated since August - I'm still on V 6.1.0. Have I missed a a bunch of updates some how or is this V10 the next one?

My Horse and Boulders are gone now and while I'll miss it the animation was always over by the time I got in lol

Supposedly, this update helps with projection/Bluetooth. Carplay seems to be a bit snappier, and although I haven't had as many issues as others with Carplay crashes, etc., mine would glitch out and only show half the map sometimes. I figured this might have fixed that.

Second time I turned it on after the update... business as usual.

Oh, and yeah... I miss the old startup animation.

Partial map display only happens for Google Maps (on the 12” display). Never happens for Apple Maps. It’s very strange. Gotta kill Google Maps in the phone and then it’ll work again. I actually blame Google more than CarPlay. But who knows. Never happens in my VW.

And yeah after the update CarPlay startup seems much quicker.

kids and first timers notice the boulder animation! I personally don’t care.

I still get the animation, just depends on the starting scenario. I just got in without starting it right away, and it did this while I was getting buckled

I think the timing of the animation was changed. It starts playing as soon as I open the driver's door. But before it didn't play until I was sitting in the driver's seat.

Hey Everyone, A recent software update has changed the start up sequence on the center screen that used to show the Bronco horse and the boulders. This new one is of a Bronco silhouette on a blue background. Anyone know how I can get the old animation back? It was way better than this new one in my opinion.

I get to enjoy both!
