Nice! I noticed this morning that the notifications from text messages on Apple CarPlay were actually working proper. I wonder if that was part of all of this?
Did you get the new Sync update already or just the one the OP mentioned? If it is the one this thread is about, only the GWM is updated and that should have no effect on how notifications work, but you never really do know what a GWM can fix or improve (or break if you're a glass half-empty kinda person ).

I have no idea lmao I just know that since I've had the Bronco when I get a text message the little red dot notification on the messages app didn't pop up. This morning I noticed it did pop up and go away once the message was read. It could've been like that for a while and I'm just noticing it though 😂

Here is a question. I have a Sport and a Maverick. Only the Bronco gets updates. Neither of the other 2 mention updates in the app or the car. What makes the Bronco so special?
Oh Jeez. Take your shot boys. They're already racked up...

Bronco Sports and Mavericks are not capable of OTA's unless it is a 2025 or newer. They are on Sync 3.

I wonder if this is related, but I hadn't driven my car since last thursday. This morning i turned it out and there was an audio noise that was different than the normal startup. Then when i started backing out of my spot, i noticed the noise made by the parking sensors are different. It was kind of unnerving. Like, "am i nuts, has the car always sounded like this?"

Anyone else notice a change in the parking sensor sounds or startup?

This OTA is the first of a packet of three that Ford is calling "Software Update 12". Next one will be a TCU and then an APIM that brings Sync up to version 26093. That new Sync is a biggie. It is a whole new OS with new nav files, new voice files and new wifi chip firmware that actually is supposed to address the issues with wireless phone projection with both Android Auto and Carplay. This Sync update will also add the YouTube and Karaoke apps that the newer Ford's are shipping with.

Be prepared.....the Sync update will most likely wipe all user data since it is a new OS. It will not look much different fromt he current one, but it is completely different. My F150 has had it for a few weeks now. I still use a wired connection for my phone, so I can't say if wireless is better, but on the F150, Lightning and Mach E forums, people are saying it is better.
I will welcome this inconvenience if it actually works any better.

Still driving around in a 2022 Badlands.
Sure would be nice if I didn’t need to plug and unplug the phone 3 or 4 times to get carplay going. (Wired because wireless has never worked)
When that doesn’t work, need to reset the Bronco audio. Usually once or twice a day.
when it does connect, need to toggle to another app and then back to navigation to get full screen. It’s always in full screen mode but starts with a split screen.

Sync sucked in my f150 but this sucks on a new suckier level of suck.

and why must every update change all audio settings back to factory?
not one update in 4 years has fixed a thing.

and the recent climate update made it so I need to use max A/C all of the time.

I love driving my bronco but Ford has no idea what they’re doing when it comes to audio, climate control, removable roof or tech in general
Ford-get rid of your Tech Dept. You just create more problems!!!
