New 2026 with KO2 issues

I was actually looking for insight into the process of a warranty claim for tires and how long it takes etc with Ford, and how long I’ll be without a car. Guess I’ll report back.

I've gone thru the process at a dealer - its very quick...they submit the claim into the mothership and hear back the same day. So my experience was a one day turn around...first day raodforce balance...values were out of spec...they put in a claim, approved same day and ordered new tires (2 for me) and then the next day they arrived and mounted/balanced....so pretty easy....

I had the same problem with a brand new 2016 F150 with Michelin LTX M/S tires that had a vibration. Dealer said it was normal and to give the tires around 5k miles to even out.
Took it to the tire shop I had used for years and was out in 20 minutes with zero vibration.

Exactly. It's a shop issue.

Most shops either do not have proper equipment or don't know how to balance oversized tires. These tires are not the same as car tires.

I've seen tons of issues with shops including not removing all the old weights before re-balancing or mixing weights. Sometimes a tire needs to be removed and remounted in a different orientation. Wheels are not "balanced" including forged especially after adding the TPMS sensor.

I'm not saying that there can't be a bad tire... However, Michelin and BF Goodrich are the gold standard for quality and innovation.

Take the vehicle back to your Ford dealership immediately. Because your Bronco is brand new, Ford’s New Vehicle Limited Warranty covers 100% of tire replacement costs for factory defects (including excessive road force) during the initial Bumper-to-Bumper period, completely free of charge.

I've had KO2s on my 22 Badlands since new. They have been great in rain and snow and have lasted 45K miles and will be replaced this fall with KO3s. Tires rotated every 5K miles when I have an oil change done.

They have balanced well, worn evenly, and have not spit rocks onto my doors.

Good luck trying that with tires, which have their own warranty...

Took it back to the dealership and they said nothing wrong with it. We now have about 19,000 miles on it and only slightly better. I would not buy another set of BFGoodrich tires again. I have seen many complaints about vibration and there is a YouTube channel with a guy that does road force balancing and he claims that he’s need had a set of KO2’s that balanced out correctly.

I went through that with KO2s a few years ago. Went to Discount Tire and they were hesitant about them and told me I'd be better off getting another set of the oem Goodyear MTs that it came with. I declined the oem Goodyears and got the KO2s.
After about 3 weeks of going back and forth to Discount Tire because of balance issues, I wound up getting Toyo AT3s, no problems with them. The best road force they could get out of the KO2s was around 35 lbs.
During this ordeal I checked with another tire shop and they told me that KO2s were known to have balancing issues and that he would order 8 when someone wanted them just hoping to get 4 of them to balance out decently.
