So I picked up a set of 5 brand new SAS takeoff wheels from a 25. My BL is a non SAS and has stock wheels.
I am going to get new tires for the SAS wheels and have been researching everywhere and think I have narrowed it down to the 35/11.5/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T4 they are a C load and weigh 68 lbs with 60k warranty for $328 tire. I am also looking at the or the Toyo Open Country III in 35/12.5/17 that are also a C load at 59 lbs. for $389 ea. Everything else i have looked at are running between $370-$390 per tire and are between 65-75 lbs.

Anyone using the Falkens? Feedback on them?Good, bad?
What about the Toyo III?
The Falkens are $60+ less per tire right now so its a great deal.

Appreciate any input. Also will be adding new TPMS sensors from Tire Rack at $27 ea unless someone knows where I can get the Ford ones for a good price.

Can’t say anything really bad about either of your choices. Expect the Falkens to last for 60k and the Toyos about 30k miles

9 pounds difference of rotational mass and unsprung weight per corner is not insignificant but I rate that consideration higher than most…

I did a lot of time with the Falken AT3W on my 4Runner; word is the AT4W is somewhat of an improvement. Used to have balance issues however and the AT3W was notorious for this (not sure if they have gotten it improved on the AT4W). The 4Runner steering rack was super sensitive to tires being out of balance though; so it was a bigger issue on that vehicle likely than Bronco.

Like others have said, Falkens are heavy AF also. Definitely durable, but it's a downside of their tires.

Can't go wrong with the Toyo either. A lot of folks are swearing by the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT these days also, but I personally haven't driven a vehicle with them.

I think these days as long as you are keeping away from the Chinese value brands, there really are not "bad" tires made per-say. Some are good, some are great, and some will do specific things better than others. Ultimately thinking about your use case is the most significant thing (for instance, RT vs. AT, 3PMSF severe snow rating required, more durable sidewalls for cut protection, etc.).
