100% isopropyl alcohol is better, but its harder to find.
Standard “Rubbing Alcohol” is 70% isopropyl alcohol and 30% water. If 100% isopropanol will work, then rubbing alcohol should work almost as well.

Buddy says worst case he will buy me a new window. I told him I’m pretty sure you can’t just buy a window at this point.
I think I faintly remember hearing/reading somewhere that the price of that window, by itself, was somewhere on the order of a thousand dollars.

Goo Gone has a citrus based cleaner, I wouldn't suggest using Goof Off. make sure the surface is warm and use a microfiber towel.

Also Gorilla tape works well in some cases, put a strip over the adhesive to be removed, make sure its warm, rub it in and rip it off. Its done well for me in a pinch.

Goo Gone not an option. It contains petroleum, which is harmful to vinyl.

I've used WD-40 or other oils to get sticker residue off a variety of plastics including an electric guitars. Not sure safety on the softtop windows, but may be helpful.

Vinegar & water with a brush/toothbrush and LOTS of patience has worked for me in the past.

There's also cleaning products like Plexus and 303 Vinyl cleaner. I believe Bestop also makes a vinyl window cleaner.

But it's mostly just lots of patience. As you've already noticed... stronger solvents will also eat away at the vinyl plastics, so it'll be a lot of elbow grease.

I used Maguier’s. It says it works on vinyl.

Try Goo Gone citrus based , not goof off. Make sure the surface is warm use a microfiber towel. I always apply remover to towel first then rub it in. Also try gorilla tape, apply a strip over the area rub it in and rip it off.

That is a funny sticker...
But man, just tape it on and not really stick it... Payback is a Bit_h.

I would go to a car detailer. Have him detail the truck and remove the sticker. Then charge your buddy. Alternatively you can try boat plastic window cleaner. They have some plastic window cleaners that also buff out small scratches.
