Sure I would like a bigger tank for longer off road trips but the small tank gives me an excuse to stop and pee on road…two edged sword…on road gas stations are seldom more than a couple hundred miles apart so not really a problem but the 2 gallon tank on my old sportster was a real problem a couple times….

It’s a dual turbocharged box. If you purchased it for good gas mileage, you failed.
I’ve had V8 Mustangs, 2013 Taurus SHO Ecoboost and hi-po I4 cars (Escort GT/Focus SVT) and my V6 Bronco gets the best around town gas mileage out of all of them 😂

going back to the OP-yes my big bend is stuck at 20/21 MPG highway or around town.

I have a 26 mile daily commute (round trip) with a mix of street and freeway. The dash reading is currently 16mpg. I could honestly care less as long as it doesn't get closer to 10mpg.

Same here. My mileage improved slightly with the Procal (1.5 mpg ish), but not enough to cover $5/gallon premium…

The fact that Ford advertises these engines as Ecoboost, with the green leaf, makes people think they are fuel efficient. And under laboratory conditions, they might be.
But real world is much different, especially when powering something with the aerodynamics of a brick.
I think the EcoBoost an improvement in fuel efficiency. My 315 hp Bronco get better gas mileage than My 207 hp Ranger, both city and highway driving. While neither one gets great mpg, the EcoBoost is an improvement.

I love how folks think “pre smog“ vehicles got better mpg than modern vehicles…my ‘54 ford high school car never got better than 15mpg, my ‘69 f100 got 12 on a good day, the wife’s college pinto only got around 20, my model A got around 20 when stock but couldn’t go much over 45mph, my stock ‘46 CJ2a got less mileage with the same top speed…just to name a few…most of your terrible mpg broncos get better with way more power and drivability…
