Weird, I have lane assistance on all the time, use the ACC often, and typically drive with one hand. I have never seen that alert in my '22 WT. Is that a newer feature?

I don't have this feature, but around here, the consensus seems to be if you don't jiggle/turn the steering wheel enough, the feature thinks you are falling asleep or letting lane keeping trying to autopilot you, and sends you the nag alert.

No promises, but give this a shot. Might be in a different spot depending on model year. On the 2025 touchscreen:

Features>Driver Assistance>Lane-Keeping System>Mode

You can set to Aid (steering help), Alerts, or both. Try doing Aid only with no alert.

Also, further down the Driver Assistance menu is Driver Alert, which supposedly alerts you if it thinks you aren’t paying attention. It can be toggled off.

I have all this stuff set to on, but rarely activate lane assist on the steering wheel and I’ve never gotten that warning you got. Maybe changing these will silence that alert.

BL with lux. Drive with one hand whenever the window I’d down. Never experienced this happening.

Since my Bronco is a Base model, I don't have the Lane Keeping System, and I wouldn't want to have it. I prefer to pay attention while I'm driving and not receive any help with steering and braking. (Cruise control is good, though).

So my vote for most annoying alert is the Pre-Collision Assist, which occasionally goes off either when I'm coming up quickly on someone who is turning off of the road and will be out of the way when I get there, or sometimes when there is a lane shift and somebody else is in the other lane at just the right point. I don't want the stupid distraction of the warning when I need 100% of my attention on my driving. It's also annoying when the windshield has been frosted over during the winter and it warns me that the feature won't work. Yeah, I'll have to actually pay attention. Duh.

The one other annoying feature is when it tells me that it can't find my cell phone (because I left it home). The warning that I'm about to run out of gas goes away in a few seconds, but I have to actually acknowledge the cell phone thing. Double Duh!

I think it depends on exactly where your one hand is and how hard you're gripping it. Talking about your hand that's on the wheel. I don't need to know where your other hand is or how hard it's gripping....

@VirginiaHeritage, You've either spent a lot of time fondling your Bronco's touch screens, or something far more despicable, like actually reading the owners manual.

It ain’t the manual. I’m a fondler. I actually put a Spigen screen protector on today to protect the Bronco from my gratuitous fondling.

I'll have to double check my settings as well.. I get that whenever I use the system even if I'm driving completely straight (as frequently happens in the midwest).
