I know I’m “missing“ the point of the post.
Being a 50+ yr desert rat I’ve seen the sun destroy just about everything. Hell my first new car I bought back in the day the spedo melted and was useless.
I guess if the circumstances were right and the sun was focused enough I guess it could happen.
But I wouldn’t discount the Rebel Scum theory.
