100% not the case. I sold more vehicles in 21’ than in 19’ or 20’. If your sales rep is not communicating with you, you should find someone else. I agree there is no reason for not communicating but to say we (salesman) have nothing but time is extremely inaccurate. Do I have down time absolutely but can I sit around all day and do nothing? Only if I hate money!

Please don’t take this the wrong way, I am just simply stating that good salesman value customer service and Want to take care of ALL of their customers, the ones that are in front of them and future customers that have orders arriving! Instead of making an ignorant blanket statement and posting to an online forum, call text or email your salesman. Better yet go into the dealership and speak to them directly. If he /she is any good he/she will be glad to assist!
Never said they were not working but around here, most new car lots have 30 or less new vehicles on them. Pull into a lot and 50 sales reps come out and want to sell you something. If most new cars are orders, and you have ordered a vehicle, a good sales rep should be following through every step of the process and keeping up with the changes to the industry and communicating that to the customer. Since my order is a dealer order, not an early reservation, and does not show up on ford.com, I call them monthly for updates. I have a good sales rep and not all sales people are bad, but seems that after it's ordered, no one cares until it's time to sign the paperwork. Would it hurt a dealership to have a rotation of sales reps to do daily or weekly checks for their outstanding orders?

You cant help but laugh at this nonsense now.

Not to mention "chip shortage" feels like the go to excuse bc you cannot really argue it lol
Yeah it’s 100% made up. Ford paid all the news outlets and newspapers to go along with them. Just cuz.

Hmmm, seems like dealer stock units are being prioritized over orders to me.

So they purchased all of them and put them in a shoe box until they need them? Or maybe they contracted to have them produced over time as them need them and something could have happened and they are not available for a period of time?
You get sarcastic when given the statement Ford sent out about chips?

Yes. One trend we noticed in our week data that ford was delaying convoy over rail orders. Suggesting that the short delivery would be easier.
Our trend in the 1/3 week is 14 Convoy and 10 rail are currently in, "Purgatory". As in, their pizza tracker has no check mark in the, "In Production", field.

Maddening, I tell ya.

It’s very odd since we see some 2022‘s get delivered. Have a friend who’s 2021 Black Diamond had and ETA of 1/9 now has been moved to 1/31. Reason unknown.
I feel bad for those folks.

Easy Big Shoots! I saw the statement, your inference doesn’t make sense to me - plus internal Ford/dealer communications seems to bear the chip shortage out - as I implied you both could be right. Ford has a contract to buy all someone’s production and now there is a temporary interruption.

SO close. YET so far.

I absolutely do not want a Dirt Mountain 2.0 Bronco
There was tan mud up inside the front bumper of mine… and 60 miles on it.

“Inference”? “BigShoots”? FORD CEO stated in an interview that they prepared in advance they have chips for the Bronco production. My dealers getting Broncos delivered no chip issues. That dealer is throwing shade on a client to silence the follow ups.

Good info. Agree to a point. I think this is a short term issue that will get resolved. I did also see some ford communication that indicated this.

Spradley Barr in Wyoming and N. Colorado sold to Ken Garff……Spradley Barr had been around longer than I can remember.

I think it’s bullshit. If it was a chip issue why are there 21’s and 22’s getting delivered.
Because it's a chip shortage, not a chip outage?

Yeah, the chip shortage is real. My wife's Chevy Traverse waited 3 months to get one. This was bound to happen as Ford ramped up production on the Bronco.
My man.... we are in a chip shortage, and your wife wasted chips on a chevy traverse!? Why would you do that lol
