Mocked up a carrier for my maxtrax off the back of my Bronco.

Started with a RC tail gate reinforcement plate and built a rack to hold them off to the side. I will likely fine tune this a bit and add provisions for my chain saw also but the tracks are a good start.

This looks great! Any issues with clearance with the those pins?

nothing major, with 2 sets of tracks I can open the door all the way and the just touch the tail light.

with 4 I can open to about 100degrees before contacting the tail light.

Have to be cautious not to accidentally close the gate before the glass though.

Nice work

What are you thinking for chainsaw? I'm dreaming up a 'scabbard-holster' style thing that mounts to gate plate...

My plan is to make a removable mount that puts the motor over the tire and the bar along the back side of the maxtrax. That way I can bolt it on when I need to bring the saw but have it free and clear the rest of the time.
