First off, with all due respect, chill out. I don't know who hurt you today, but that comment was originally made to help you visualize something you've never noticed before.I don't watch the tach when starting off. I listen to the engine and pay attention to how the vehicle is reacting. I look where I'm going instead of at the tach.
There is no need to watch the tach when starting off, unless you don't know what you're doing.
