I put one of these on my Badlands capable bumper a couple of years ago. It has been holding in place ever since with no problems
My Heritage Limited had the same thing and I thought they would have been the only idiots to do that. Guess not.

Does anyone have a suggestion on a front bumper bracket that doesn't have to be drilled through the metal? I don't want to mess up her front side!
Interesting observation on your bumper. When I removed my front plate holder I noticed 1. The screw holes in the painted area 2. The weird defect on the top area of the bumper which was behind the plate holder. The defect on yours is identical to mine. This definitely occurred pre-delivery to me and would only be noticeable if I had removed the plate holder at the time of delivery. I bought color matched plugs from bumperplugs.com. The Robins Egg cost more, they make you buy 4 plugs due to the cost of making them (I emailed and confirmed this). I haven't tried them yet, waiting to get that piece re-ppf'd since the ppf shop stopped the ppf at the license plate bracket.
